A public inbox exposes the message
A public SMS inbox displays received messages to visitors who can access that inbox. A verification code shown there is not a secret known only to you. The number may also have been used before for unrelated accounts.
Do not use a public inbox for sensitive accounts, personal data, payments or account recovery. Seeing a code arrive does not make the shared receiving channel private. A public example number should never be mistaken for inventory reserved to your account.
A private order is attached to your account
With a paid order, you select the app and country and follow the purchased number and its messages in your account. This site does not publish a shared public inbox or provide a list of free public phone numbers.
Private access still has a time limit. Every order expires after 20 minutes. Keep your account credentials private, and treat any received code as sensitive even when it is displayed inside an authenticated dashboard.
Free registration does not include a free number
An account can be created before placing an order, but available numbers have displayed purchase prices. Review the actual app-country price before confirming. A “from” price is not the price of every route.
If an order expires without an SMS, the charge is credited back to your account balance. That does not mean a delivered verification is free, and it does not return money to the payment method you used to top up.
Plan for the end of the receiving window
A temporary number is not a permanent recovery channel. If an app may ask for another code weeks later, consider whether you have a supported recovery method that remains under your control.
Do not assume a previously used number will be available again. Review expiry in your dashboard and avoid leaving an important account dependent on a number you will no longer control.
Choose the route around the workflow
For a single authorized verification, compare the listed options. Current stock and the sending service’s rules determine what you can actually do.
For your own application’s development, keep test accounts separate from production accounts and avoid exposing real users’ codes. The API can integrate receiving orders into a controlled workflow; it does not turn them into an outbound SMS service.
Take the next step
Compare the listed app and country prices or open the API reference for integration details. For an existing order, contact support with its order ID.
